EXECUTIVE TEAM

Tyler Thatcher, Chief Executive Officer/President

Prior to joining Chapman Innovations in March of 2003, Tyler was the Chief Financial Officer at Campus Pipeline where he was responsible for the fiscal and administrative management of Campus Pipeline's assets as well as for the cultivation and maintenance of company relationships within the financial community. Tyler played an integral role in helping Campus Pipeline complete two rounds of financing totaling more than $80 million and also led the team through the successful negotiation and sale of Campus Pipeline to SCT (NASDAQ: SCTC) in October of 2002. Prior to joining Campus Pipeline, Tyler oversaw the capital markets and investor relations efforts at Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM). He has shared his experience with the Internet and IR through many speaking engagements and published articles. Tyler has several years of global financial experience in both the public and private sector, including work at Fidelity Investments and NTT of Japan. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Brigham Young University.

Carl Crosser, V.P. Finance

Carl has over ten years of professional accounting and finance experience in a variety of industries including consumer products, manufacturing and technology. Carl is a Certified Public Accountant, possessing experience in performing audits, building accounting department infrastructures, and performing financial analysis. Prior to joining Chapman Innovations, Carl was the Director of Accounting at PowerQuest Corporation, where he managed the accounting department and served as the finance/accounting representative on several corporate committees. Before joining PowerQuest, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at Prudential Utah Real Estate, where he built an accounting infrastructure and reporting system for the newly formed brokerage. In his time prior to working for Prudential, Carl spent over seven years with the international public accounting firm of Ernst & Young. There he was responsible for managing audit and consulting engagements for a variety of businesses ranging from high tech startups to Fortune 50 companies. In addition to audits, Carl worked on mergers and acquisitions and was responsible for reviewing numerous SEC filings.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

MIKE CHAPMAN

Mike is the founder of Chapman Innovations and Chapman Racing Heads. Chapman Racing Heads, with a state-of-the-art facility located in Woods Cross, Utah, is the largest racing cylinder head modification plant in the United States. As President of Chapman Racing Heads, Mike has gained a reputation for his mastery of cylinder heads and is known as one of the foremost experts on racing head design. All major auto manufacturers, including Detroit's "Big Three" auto manufacturers—Chrysler, Ford and General Motors— utilize Chapman designing ports and combustion chambers for their motorsports divisions. Cars using Chapman Racing Heads have won more than 50 championships, including three Daytona 500 victories, four Bush Grand National Championships, three Indy 500 poles, and numerous NASCAR victories throughout the country.
In the late 1990s, Mike began pursuing a fiber to create a textile that would dramatically increase the fire resistance of the garments in hopes of minimizing the number of burn-related injuries and deaths within the motorsports industry. Mike founded Chapman Innovations in 1998 to capitalize on the results of his research and development of fire resistant fabrics and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Chapman Innovations.

TYLER THATCHER

DARIN GILSON

Darin Gilson is one of the founding members and the Managing Director of Banyan Ventures. Prior to founding Banyan Ventures in early 2003, Darin served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Campus Pipeline, Inc. Darin helped grow Campus Pipeline from a backyard startup to the market leader in portal technology and services in the international higher education market. In late 2002, Darin helped execute a successful acquisition of Campus Pipeline by SCT Corporation (NASDAQ: SCTC). Darin joined Campus Pipeline from McKinsey & Company, the global management consulting firm, where his work focused on strategy and new business development. Recently, Darin served as an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, and he currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Children's Museum of Utah. Darin has an MBA in Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated a Palmer Scholar. Darin also holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in both Economics and Political Science from the University of Utah.

TAYLOR RANDALL

Taylor Randall is the Dean of the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. His current research and consulting projects examine the interactions between strategy, technology, products and value chain structure with particular emphasis on how these interactions affect financial performance in organizations. Taylor’s past and present research partners include Boeing Commercial Aircraft Group, General Motors, Dell Computers, DuPont Agricultural Chemicals, Cannondale Corporation, Emptoris, and McKinley Capital. His work has been published in Management Science, Journal of Product Innovation Management and The Financial Times, among many other journals. Professor Randall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah, a Master of Business Administration, Master in Managerial Economics and Doctoral degrees from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Professor Randall’s industrial experience includes positions as a senior consultant at Arthur Andersen & Co. and as an Assistant Production Manager at Lone Peak Designs along with numerous consulting engagements at companies like General Motors Corporation, DuPont, MPM/Speedline Technologies, O.C. Tanner company, Vista Staffing Solutions and American Investment Bank. Professor Randall also serves on the Board of Directors of the University Venture Fund.
